Principal Engineer PCT, OT Security & Connectivity
Maja Lazarova, the Head of Production at Alkaloid AD Skopje, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She has been instrumental in leading transformative projects, including implementing the EU and RU serialization processes, integrating SAP HANA, and selecting and deploying MES systems to optimize manufacturing operations.
She graduated with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kiril and Metodij in North Macedonia and further specialized in Pharmaceutical Technology. She enhanced her expertise through the Executive Program on Production Management (Customized Improvement of Production Systems by Learning from TPS) organized by AOTS JAPAN and Executive Development Program, Kellogg Executive education.
In her current role, Maja oversees and coordinates production processes, the planning department, life cycle management, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across solid dosage forms, liquids, semisolids, cephalosporins, pharmaceutical raw materials, and medicine packaging. She ensures adherence to stringent quality standards, fosters team collaboration, and identifies opportunities for operational optimization. Her work emphasizes strategic planning, streamlined workflows, and the adoption of innovative technologies.
Maja's leadership is marked by a clear vision, a strategic approach to achieving the "End State," and a commitment to sharing and realizing this vision with her colleagues to inspire innovation and collaboration.
