With a background in statistics and a deep passion for accelerating the digitization of pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing, Alex has made it his mission to help the industry bring affordable and personalized medicines to market faster through smart, data-driven solutions.

Under his leadership, Vimachem has grown into a trusted provider of modular Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and AI-powered shop-floor intelligence, empowering pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers to unlock efficiency, ensure compliance, and scale operations globally. Vimachem’s platform integrates seamlessly across manufacturing and packaging suites, delivering real-time visibility and actionable insights for Operations, Quality, and IT teams.

Alex has established and managed strategic partnerships with top-tier pharma, biotech, and medical device companies worldwide. His work is grounded in operational excellence and focused on measurable impact.

Beyond Vimachem, Alex serves as Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University, where he has taught since 2014, sharing his expertise in analytics, operational excellence, and strategic intelligence with graduate students. He is also an active member of the Pharma 4.0 Special Interest Group at ISPE, contributing to global standards and best practices in manufacturing digitization.
